Ray Tallis

Raymond Tallis is a philosopher, poet, novelist and cultural critic. He was, until recently, a physician and clinical scientist, and is currently chair of Healthcare Professional for Assisted Dying. He has published fiction (a novel and short stories), three volumes of poetry, and over 20 books on the philosophy of mind, philosophical anthropology, literary theory, the nature of art,  and cultural criticism, including Aping Mankind: Neuromania, Darwinitis and the Misrepresentation of Humanity (Routledge, 2011), and a Chapter in From Two Cultures to No Culture: C. P. Snow’s Two Cultures Lecture Fifty Years On (Civitas, 2011).
